My Story
Antonio serves as the Associate Dean for the Division of Social Work, and an Associate Professor of Social Work at California Baptist University. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (2003), Master of Arts in Education Consulting K-12 (2009), and Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Justice (2012) from the University of Redlands. Antonio is passionate about positively affecting systems of care impacting the adult and juvenile justice, child welfare, and mental health systems. Antonio’s expertise lies in organizational leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion training, and motivational speaking.
Antonio serves as a religious volunteer with San Bernardino County Juvenile Probation, where he provides bible study to incarcerated youth, currently serving rehabilitative sentences. He also volunteers at several "pop up" homeless shelters in Redlands, during the winter months to provide supervision and meal distribution to homeless men during inclement weather. He provides consultation and training on cultural humility and responsiveness to leadership and practitioners within child welfare, education, and juvenile justice settings, and is serves on multiple boards with secular and faith-based organizations throughout the Inland Empire.
