HOUSING STABILITY

Our region is disproportionately impacted by most crises – the Housing Crisis is one of them. Without enough housing available for renters and owners across the income spectrum, our neighborhoods, businesses, schools, health systems, public, and safety resources are all negatively impacted. In addition, growing numbers of individuals and families find themselves entering homeless situations or living at consistent risk of doing so. Emergency and relief efforts cannot keep up with the pace of the growing problem. Systemic solutions are needed now!

The Parkview Legacy Foundation is committed to working with others across all sectors as we seek to understand the root causes of our Housing Crisis and strategically build our way out of it as quickly as we possibly can.

Inland SoCal Housing Collective

Parkview Legacy Foundation partners with other regional leaders through the Inland SoCal Housing Collective in creating solutions that improve housing outcomes for renters, homebuyers, homeowners, and those experiencing homelessness through education, advocacy, access to resources, and the creation of pathways out of the housing inventory and affordability crisis.  We help provide leadership to the collective through its steering committee and several committees.  Learn more here:https://sites.google.com/view/ischcollective/home

Innovative Housing Solutions

Inland SoCal Housing Collective

Parkview Legacy Foundation is proud to have participated in the Global Policy Leadership Institute’s April 2024 field study of the social housing program in Vienna, Austria that help make Vienna a city with consistently one of the best quality of life ratings in the world. Their program also ensures that everyone in Vienna lives in safe, quality housing and neighborhoods at rates that they can afford, and that homelessness is virtually non-existent. Upon our return, we have been partnering with the Inland So Cal Housing Collective to host workshops about what we’ve learned and explore how we might move similar success forward in our context. We’d love to have that conversation and/or make that presentation with as many local leaders as possible! Please reach out to us if you are interested.

Things we are interested in...

Parkview Legacy Foundation is especially interested in efforts that significantly increase the supply of housing and make housing accessible to all income levels. These efforts include, but are not limited to, those that reduce building costs, increase density, expand the availability of housing typologies (i.e. Missing Middle, and SROs), advance policy changes leading to sustainable long term-solutions, foster the likelihood of homeownership and generational wealth building, and creatively multi-solve across several of the vital conditions for thriving communities.
